The M & G N  Circle was formed in 1959 by a group of enthusiasts who wished to exchange information about the history of the line. Today, over 50 years on, the Circle has grown to over 300 members, who number among their ranks a good number of ex railway employees, a few from the time when the railway was still an entity in its own right and more from later times.

The Circle Bulletin, which has passed its 500th issue, has published a wealth of memories written down by these former employees for the benefit of other members. 

The Circle holds a large collection of archives from the railway and a photographic collection of several thousand negatives. A number of useful publications have been produced and a drawings service is operated.

Meetings are held in locations throughout the area served by the line and an annual general meeting is held in King’s Lynn each year close to the site of the line’s original offices in the town. Some of our members are model makers who seek to recreate the M&GN scene in model form.
